The Opportunity:

The SAP TM Consultant is responsible for the successful delivery of SAP Transportation Management (TM) module deliverables on various engagements, including implementations, upgrades, and extensions. This role involves working with clients to select, implement, and support SAP solutions, handling tasks like design, configuration, testing, and problem analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Configure SAP TM systems and prepare functional specifications.
  • Perform testing, defect tracking, and defect resolution.
  • Work with embedded SAP TM in S/4HANA and standalone SAP TM solutions.
  • Manage SAP TM Master Data (Product, Business Partner, Dangerous Goods, Transportation Networks, Resources).
  • Handle Order Management integration with SAP TM.
  • Configure and support Planning processes including profiles, optimizer planning, schedules, freight execution, and tendering.
  • Support Freight Settlement and Cost Distribution.
  • Manage SAP TM business processes for inbound/outbound shipments, load building, and transportation scenarios across multiple transport modes (road, ocean, rail, air).
  • Work on transportation execution processes like carrier selection, tendering, delivery, and shipment proposals.
  • Oversee freight settlement processes including charge management, calculations, and settlements.
  • Integrate SAP TM with other SAP modules such as SAP SD and SAP MM.

SAP TM, S/4HANA, Embedded TM, Standalone TM, SAP TM Master Data, BRF Plus, PPF, FPM, POWL, SAP EM Integration, SAP ERP Integration, PI, EDI, Test Case Writing, UAT, OSS Messages, Release Management, Transport Management, ABAP (optional), ABAP Debugging (optional)

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1–3 years of experience in SAP TM implementation, support, or upgrade projects.
  • Knowledge of SAP TM functional configurations and processes.
  • Experience with cross-module integration, including SAP EM and ERP.
  • Familiarity with PI, EDI, and third-party system integration.
  • Ability to write test cases and assist in UAT sessions.
  • Capability to handle OSS messages and coordinate with technical teams for resolution.
  • Understanding of release and transport management processes.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Degree in Engineering or MBA in Supply Chain Management.
  • SAP certification in SAP TM preferred.
  • Knowledge of ABAP and ABAP debugging is an advantage.
  • Strong commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
